Wild Ideas for Clean Water on June 27th!

Triangle Land Conservancy will host another installment of its Wild Ideas series. Wild Ideas for Clean Water will be on June 27, 2017 at The Frontier at Research Triangle Park starting at 5:30pm. Community members are invited to learn about their watershed while enjoying free local food and beer. Register online at https://triangleland.org/explore/wild-ideas.

TLC’s Wild Ideas series provides a unique venue for experts and the community to share their innovative ideas to support local farms and food, safeguard clean water, protect natural habitats, and connect people with nature in order to make the Triangle a more vibrant place for all of us to live, work, and play. The featured speakers for Wild Ideas for Getting Outside are Ryan Bethea (Oysters Carolina), Ed Buchan (City of Raleigh Public Utilities Dept.), Ryan Kolarov (Neuse River Brewing Company), Zulayka Santiago (Earthseed Land Cooperative), and Sandy Sweitzer (TLC). The emcee for the event is Dale Threatt-Taylor (Wake Soil and Water Conservation District).

After hearing from these experts, guests are invited to explore an Expo of organizations, groups, and businesses connected to Triangle watersheds including: City of Durham Water Management, Clean Jordan Lake, Durham County Extension Master Gardeners, East Coast Greenway Alliance, Ellerbe Creek Watershed Association, Eno River Association, Frog Hollow Outdoors, Great Outdoor Provision Co., Keep Durham Beautiful, Lake Crabtree Park, NC Coastal Federation, NC Forest Service, NC Sea Grant, Piedmont Picnic Project, Toxic Free NC, Wake Soil and Water Conservation District, Watershed Weaving with Jan French, What SUP? Triangle. Beer by Neuse River Brewing Company will be featured.
