This notice applies to our practices for gathering and disseminating information related to TLC text messaging service (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and is meant to provide you an overview of our practices when collecting and processing personal information.
How We Collect Information
TLC does not store or analyze data obtained by the RingCentral application. Our third-party provider, RingCentral, may collect personal information by direct collection, when you provide information by responding to text messages. TLC does not collect personal information via metadata or cookies (i.e. cookies are small pieces of data stored on a device by websites to remember information such as login details, preferences and shopping cart items). SMS consent is not shared with third parties.
What Type of Information We Collect
TLC collects personal information from Ring Central to TLC systems by direct and automatic collection that includes:
- First and last name
- Phone number
- Conversation (content of text message)
Direct Collection
- Opt-out preferences (RingCentral)
- Content of your text message responses
Automated Collection
We automatically collect the following personal information via Ring Central App:
- Device status indicating whether a device is available for messaging
- Delivery status
- Error codes indicating why a message was not delivered (e.g. number associated with a landline, unreachable device, etc.)
How This Information is Used
We use the personal information collected to communicate with you regarding TLC operations and services, to keep you informed of important dates or activities specific to your relationship with TLC.
With Whom This Information is Shared
We do not sell or rent your personal information. SMS consent is not shared with third parties. We may, however, share your personal information when required by law or when we believe sharing will help to protect the safety, property or rights of TLC and community.
What Choices You Can Make About Your Information
If you wish to unsubscribe from text messages you may receive from TLC for a conversation or campaign, you can reply with words, such as ‘cancel’, ‘end’, quit’, ‘unsubscribe’, ‘stop’, or ‘stop all’ and you will no longer receive messages.
If you wish to re-subscribe, reply with words, such as ‘start’, ‘yes’, or ‘unstop’.

TLC strives to ensure reasonable security measures are in place, including physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to protect your personal information.
