Triangle Land Conservancy’s River Society members are among our most generous supporters, making yearly Annual Fund gifts of $1,000 or more. River Society members are ambassadors for local conservation as their leadership gifts help set the pace for TLC’s projects to safeguard clean water, support local farms and food, protect wildlife habitat and connect people with nature. The group has grown from 58 members during its inaugural year in 1999 to more than 300 members today.
The combined philanthropic giving of the River Society makes up 56 percent of overall membership revenue and supports TLC as the only local conservation organization working across all six counties of the Triangle to protect important open space.
Each year, River Society members are invited to a special members-only reception called the River Society Soiree. They also receive other benefits including: our print newsletter Conservation Connections, invitations to outings, special events, property celebrations, and special member communications.
