Schenck Forest & Umstead Loop
Schenck Forest & Umstead Loop
November 15 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Free
Join TLC on this special partner hike through Schenck Forest and Umstead State Park!
Naturalist and TLC Trail guide, Julie Hall, will guide you on this 5-mile hike through Schenck Forest and a short section of the City of Raleigh Greenway to reach the Walton Farm. Mary Walton is looking forward to speaking with the group about the Conservation Easement process and working with TLC on this partnership to protect her farm. We will get to walk through a portion of the farm, and then head back on the greenway and through Schenk Forest to complete a loop.
This is a free event, but preregistration is required. Schenck Forest serves as a working forest and outdoor laboratory for North Carolina State University students, so there is a strict no dog policy.
