What is my role at TLC? My role is to assist with education and outreach, communications, and general farm work on the lands at the Williamson Preserve. Also, I will be helping the Karen Community Farm at Oaky Grove – a local, refugee farm – with their farming and outreach efforts.
Favorite TLC preserve? I haven’t had the chance to visit all of the TLC preserve, but I really love Williamson!
Taylor joined TLC in December 2024 as the Williamson Farm Americorps Member. Prior to this, Taylor worked in web design and communications, as a middle school agriculture teacher, and as an animal science instructor. Taylor studied at NC State (Go Pack!) and received her BS in Animal Science, where she spent a lot of time working with small ruminants and dairy cattle. In her free time, you can find Taylor at an NC State basketball or football game, hiking at Lake Johnson with my dog, Armadillo, and working in her garden.
