What is your role at TLC? As Volunteer and Outreach Associate, I coordinate volunteer programs and represent TLC at various outreach events within the community.
Favorite TLC preserve? White Pines – the Rocky and Deep Rivers are so beautiful!
Amaya joined TLC in April 2024. She grew up in Durham, NC and graduated from NC State University. Amaya previously worked as an educator at the Museum of Life and Science while completing her degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management. She has always had a passion for conservation and connecting people to nature, inspired by her days as a Girl Scout and while participating in environmental protection debates at Model United Nations conferences in school.
