Join us for a mindful walk in the beautiful forest at Johnston Mill Preserve
This forest bathing style meditation does not require clearing your mind of thoughts, sitting motionless, or focusing on your breath. If you’ve tried mindfulness but it hasn’t clicked, this approach may be for you! Mindfulness meditation teacher Barbara Shumannfang will guide gentle walking, standing and sitting meditation, and we’ll close with tips for applying mindfulness in daily life.
All are welcome. No experience required. The trail is mostly flat and includes a couple of steps up and down from a boardwalk, as well as sections with tree roots. Please bring water to drink, bug spray, and a towel/lightweight seat to sit on for the still portions along the way.
This is a free event, but preregistration is required.
