Due to the growing threat of coronavirus/COVID-19, Triangle Land Conservancy has made the decision to cancel tomorrow’s sold-out Wild Ideas for Farms and Forests. After considering the NC Department of Health and Human Services’ event recommendations for the Triangle, we decided it is in the best interest of our community’s health to call off tomorrow’s event, which was scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences.
We apologize for any inconvenience and are disappointed to cancel, particularly given the community’s enthusiasm for the program, but the health and safety of our community is our most important consideration.
We will reschedule for a later date. Thank you for your patience.
Triangle Land Conservancy’s Wild Ideas series provides a unique venue for experts and the community to share their innovative ideas to improve lives through conservation by safeguarding clean water, protecting wildlife habitat, supporting local farms and food, and connecting people to nature. On March 12th we will introduce the community to the Bailey and Sarah Williamson Preserve at Wild Ideas for Farms and Forests. Williamson Preserve is a 405-acre property owned by TLC that embodies all four of our public benefits. The land is host to several unique ecosystems, working farmland, years of local agrarian history, and will connect to the Neuse River Greenway Trail, East Coast Greenway, and Mountains to Sea Trail. Join us to learn more about this special place and the community who helped shape it as we prepare for it to open on April 25th.
