Join our Turkey Tromp and opt-outside this holiday!
Our wonderful Trail Guide, Cornelia, will lead you through 4 miles of the trail system with a goal speed of 3mph (20 min per mile). You will be able to see Fall in full swing at the preserve with bright red sumac and crisp native grasses in our piedmont prairie restoration habitat, so come get your heart racing and see Horton Grove’s natural wonders during one of our favorite times of the year. This is a free event, but preregistration is required. We ask that you register by Wednesday the 22nd so that our staff can share hike lists with our trail guides before the holiday weekend.
Current Mask Policy: TLC seeks to build a supportive, mask-friendly environment in all collaborations with staff and the public. Please wear a mask if you are not vaccinated, or if that makes you feel most comfortable. We also encourage those eligible to be vaccinated to get their Covid-19 vaccine and booster shot. If you are experiencing any Covid-related symptoms, please stay home and attend a program another day. Our top priority is to create a safe environment for our community.
