Come join us at our Johnston Mill Nature Preserve to take the last step of Winter and welcome in Spring with it’s glorious wildflowers. We will be looking for Spring ephemerals and other wildflowers such as Blood Root, Trout Lilies, Little Heart Leaf, Trilliums, and many more. All ages and levels of flower ID are welcome, but our TLC Trail Guides will help lead the way and find examples of some of the many wildflowers you can see in our piedmont habitats.
This hike will journey through piedmont forest with light topographical change on the Robin Trail. This will be an easy 2 mile out and back hike. There will be many stops along the way to see what we can find so make sure to wear good walking shoes and bring bug spray, sunscreen and a full water bottle!
This event is free but pre-registration is required. Save your spot here!
Current Mask Policy: TLC seeks to build a supportive, mask-friendly environment in all collaborations with staff and the public. Please wear a mask if you are not vaccinated, or if that makes you feel most comfortable. We will have masks available if you would like to wear one during an event. We also encourage those eligible to be vaccinated to get their Covid-19 vaccine and booster shot. If you are experiencing any Covid-related symptoms, please stay home and attend a program another day. Our top priority is to create a safe environment for our community. Thank you for your understanding.
