Will You Go Out With Us?
You may remember last year when REI did something different on Black Friday—they closed the co-op’s doors and invited the nation to opt outside with them. And more than a million people did just that. It really caught the attention of our community. This year on Black Friday, we’re going to join REI outside, and we’d like you to opt outside with us. Let’s skip the malls and celebrate life outdoors!
We’re thankful to have thousands of acres of beautifully conserved Piedmont land in the Triangle and for the chance to explore it with you! On November 25th you can visit any one of our nature preserves or some of the other great OptOutside sites in the area, or you can join Bo Howes, Director of Conservation and Stewardship on a guided hike at Brumley Forest Nature Preserve in Orange County. This preserve is not open to the public yet but our friends at REI have been instrumental in helping us get it ready, so we want to celebrate all they do with a special OptOutside outing!
