Frog for web

Join local herpetologist Ed Kabay to follow the calls of springtime frogs through the woods and along the wetlands. The vernal pools and streams of Johnston Mill make it a perfect habitat for these delicate amphibians. May is a great time to be out at night looking for frogs. This will be peak breeding season for our local tree frogs (grey and possibly green), cricket frogs, and pickerel frogs. Learn what to look and listen for in order to spot frogs and protect their habitat. Grab a flashlight and take this rare opportunity to see a TLC Preserve after it closes to the public at night.

Prepare to get muddy!
