“Artistic process and time spent with the ordinary and extraordinary wonders of nature is my constant joy.”
Spend an afternoon in the woods of White Pines learning to let conservation inspire creativity under the tutelage of Jeannine Reese as part of Wild Ideas Goes Outside. Jeannine Reese is a graduate of UNC who has a passion for capturing art in varying realistic and abstract forms: watercolor, pen & ink, collage, and papercutting. Her favorite artistic tool is using a sketchbook journal for recording thoughts, ideas, and images gathered from time spent traveling, gardening, hiking, or kayaking.
Jeannine’s journal makes a memorable record of inspirations and images caught while traveling or investigating locally the nature in her home environment. On March 11th she will provide each student with a journal to start building their own collection of creative observations. Stops along the way will provide opportunities for instruction on technique, plant and animal species of note, and prompts for inspiration.
Please register below to join us for Nature Journaling with Jeannine. All materials will be provided and no prior experience is necessary.
