Meet the Trees of White Pines

The first week of spring is a great time to get outside and get up close and personal with some of the most diverse ecology in the Piedmont! Join Phil Cox of the Grand Trees of Chatham on a members only hike around TLC’s first public nature preserve, White Pines in Chatham County. Following the White Pines trail to the River trail you will encounter beeches, sycamores, and of course white pines, all in less than 2 miles. The hike will be of moderate difficulty and will last a maximum of two hours, leaving plenty of time for you to join us in nearby Pittsboro for the First Sip of Spring later that evening!
