National Pollinator Week is June 17th-23rd, so come out to our June family program to learn all about pollinators!  We will be at Walnut Hill Nature Preserve, which is set to open to the public in April 2020.  This is a great chance to get a sneak peak of the preserve and see what projects we have taking place out there, including our work with partner pollinator organization Apiopolis!  This program will include a nature walk with a pollinator scavenger hunt, and several games and crafts related to bees, butterflies, birds, and more.

Interested in more pollinator activities?  Check out the buzz on Keep Durham Beautiful’s website for a list of pollinator events going on.  Durham is a Bee City USA, so there are activities all around the city including a pollinator garden bike tour, meeting bees at a local hive, and more.

Make sure to bring water, sunscreen, and bug spray.  The address for the preserve will be included in your confirmation email.

This free program is open to families with children ages 4+, and pre registration is required.
