Join TLC, LNT, Steel String, and Fullsteam for this multi-partnered foraging event!
Come help forage for fall edible plants for Fullsteam and Steel String to craft into a delicious Fall brew. This event is part of the larger Leave No Trace spotlight at our Williamson Nature Preserve so the traveling team will also share best practices with foraging and how to minimize our impacts on the greater ecosystems that we are in partnership with. We will update with more information as we grow closer to the event as to what we will be foraging and how else you can get involved!
This is a free event, but preregistration is required so that we have a head count!
Current Mask Policy: TLC seeks to build a supportive, mask-friendly environment in all collaborations with staff and the public. Please wear a mask if you are not vaccinated, or if that makes you feel most comfortable. We will have masks available if you would like to wear one during an event. We also encourage those eligible to be vaccinated to get their Covid-19 vaccine and booster shot. If you are experiencing any Covid-related symptoms, please stay home and attend a program another day. Our top priority is to create a safe environment for our community. What are the Leave No Trace Spotlights?
The new Spotlight program from LNT is a multi-day event to bring attention to community conservation, to spread education, and to build momentum and inspire involvement for the future. Thanks to a community support grant from Airbnb, the Spotlights program is the newest education offering from Leave No Trace. We are so excited that TLC’s Williamson Nature Preserve has been selected to be one of its host sites. The goal of the program is to address the challenges outdoor areas are facing by tapping into the communities that are rising to meet those challenges.
