Think Valentine’s Day is for the birds? Great, join New Hope Audubon Society for a birding field trip on Sunday, February 14 at TLC’s Brumley Forest Nature Preserve in Orange County.

Tom Driscoll, President of the New Hope Audubon Society, will lead the field trip. Participants should meet at the Oak Creek Village Shopping Center, 4600 Chapel Hill Blvd, Durham, NC at 7:30 AM or make other arrangements with Tom.  Plan on returning between 12 and 1 PM. If you plan to attend or have questions, then please contact Tom at [email protected].

This trip also takes place during the Great Backyard Bird Count, an online citizen-science project to collect data on wild birds and to display results in near real-time. In 2015, Great Backyard Bird Count participants in more than 100 countries counted 5,090 species of birds on more than 147,000 checklists! During the count, you can explore what others are seeing in your area or around the world. Share your bird photos by entering the photo contest, or enjoy images pouring in from across the globe. Learn more about participating in the GBBC.
