Meet the plants of Brumley Nature Preserve with Andrew Pais at the Brumley Grand Opening! Andrew Pais recently graduated with a Ph.D. in Plant Biology at North Carolina State University. As part of his dissertation research, Andrew conducted a population genetic study of the native Flowering Dogwood with the aim of identifying candidate genes associated with disease resistance. Andrew now works as the Plant Records and Database Coordinator at JC Raulston Arboretum and is interested facilitating citizen science and educational outreach opportunities during his spare time.
