Get Wild! Fish and Frogs

Share the excitement with your children as they discover their own “mini-lobsters” and baby frogs. We’ll explore Swift Creek in search of frogs, fish, salamanders, crayfish, and dragonflies. We’ll take nets and walk in the creek itself, cooling off from the summer heat and getting an up-close look at the creek which supports all the animals at Swift Creek Bluffs.

This program is open to families with children ages 5 and up. Children younger than 5 may have difficulty with the walk and the creek entrance.

Nets will be provided. Please wear closed-toed shoes and clothes that can get wet and muddy in the creek (we recommend long pants and rain boots or old sneakers). Bug-spray is also recommended but should not be used on hands if you intend to touch amphibians.
