The US Coast Guard Auxiliary will be holding a free Vessel Safety Check station on April 30 at Farrington Point (Jordan Lake) from 0900-1400 hrs. The purpose of the VSC is to ensure your vessel – and paddlecraft are vessels too – has all the required safety equipment onboard. Vessels that pass the check will receive a decal indicating they are a safe vessel.
