Whole Foods Market 5% Community Giving Day

May 14, 2018

On Thursday, April 19, 2018, all six Triangle-area locations for Whole Foods Market donated 5% of net sales to Triangle Land Conservancy. TLC Board members, staff, and volunteers had a great time that day tabling at each of the stores throughout the day and met lots of new friends (and plenty of familiar faces too!), to talk about how folks can get involved with conservation in our region.

In a ceremony in Raleigh on Friday, May 11, 2018, Whole Foods Market presented the donation, totaling $26,451, to representatives from TLC. Christine Wilson, Director of Development, said in a statement “We’re grateful for Whole Foods Market’s support of land conservation at the local level. This donation will support conserving land that provides clean drinking water, access to hiking and mountain biking trails, sound ecosystems and wildlife habitat, and the assurance that local farms are protected so that we can all enjoy fresh and healthy food.”
