Many nonprofits, fundraising platforms, and Donor Advised Fund (DAF) providers are coming together to activate their collective audience of millions of donors for a day of unprecedented generosity on October 10th, 2024.
DAFs are tax advantage accounts where you put money aside for your favorite charities. You receive an immediate tax deduction, and the money is invested tax free, grows over time, and can be deployed at your recommendation to support nonprofits like TLC. Think of them like a special bank account for your charitable support.
Any time you want to make a gift, you work through your third-party contact – like with our friends at Triangle Community Foundation, North Carolina Community Foundation, Schwab Charitable, Fidelity Charitable, and Vanguard – and select Triangle Land Conservancy to receive a grant.
Generous donors have already set aside $230 billion dollars ready to give to charities in DAF accounts. You have the power to make a meaningful change and grow our impact together when you donate from your DAF.
Although we’ve accelerated and expanded our work across the Triangle, it is getting more expensive and complicated to protect critical land in our community. The regional population has increased 71% since 2000! We need your support to protect even more forests, farms, wetlands, and drinking water in our rapidly growing region.
Together, we are the solution in protecting our open, wild, and working lands, so we can all enjoy clean air and water, recreation and respite, wildlife habitat, and local food, all while mitigating the impacts of climate change.
