Did you know there is a trail especially for children at TLC’s Horton Grove Nature Preserve?

You may already know about Horton Grove, TLC’s largest nature preserve located NE of Durham. You may have visited and enjoyed its many habitats including hilly woodlands, native grasslands, ponds and streams home to a wide variety of wildlife on over 700 acres. You probably found great places for bird watching and viewing small mammals, butterflies and native plants along the more than 7 miles of nature trails

But did you know that along the Holman Loop that starts at the parking lot you can find a trail made especially for children called the “That Makes Sense Interpretive Trail”? Along the way they will find placards that help to teach them about the flora and fauna of Horton Grove.
