What is your role at TLC? Tanya serves as the Staff Accountant responsible for day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the general ledger.
Tanya joined Triangle Land Conservancy in June 2023. She brings over three decades of a broad range of accounting knowledge and experience ranging from large corporations to small businesses and start-ups. She has worked with numerous accounting platforms throughout her career, has maintained an ever-evolving attitude toward innovation, and is always looking for a way to improve processes and work smarter. Tanya grew up in Georgia on family acreage which instilled in her a strong appreciation for land. Her family proudly maintained a 2(+) acre vegetable garden throughout her childhood. She currently resides in Ponce Inlet, Florida and in her spare time she can usually be found on her favorite beach spending time with her husband, 4 adult children, their 3 furry 4-legged kids, and their friends. She is also passionate about protecting the Ocean, Sea Turtles, Manatees, and loves to catch that perfect photo of a storm cloud rolling in over the water.
