What is your role at TLC? As Director of Communications, my job is to communicate TLC’s vision, telling stories that foster supporter engagement, increase funding, and help people understand the importance of conservation in creating a stronger Triangle community.

Olivia joined TLC in April 2025 with nearly a decade of experience in affordable housing communications and an interest in how we use land to create strong and vibrant communities. Prior to working at TLC, Olivia led communications at Habitat for Humanity of Wake County, where she worked across teams to tell the stories of Habitat’s diverse programs and to market the expanding retail operations. Her early career experience included start-up business development and university fundraising.
Olivia grew up outside of Boone, North Carolina and studied International Relations and Journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. She spends her free time hiking, quilting, enjoying the garden her husband plants every year, and sharing her beloved mountains with her young son.
