What is your role at TLC? As Donor Engagement Associate, I ensure gifts received by TLC are processed accurately and promptly, making sure our members’ support can make the greatest impact. I also help advance TLC’s fundraising campaigns and donor stewardship strategy.
Favorite TLC Preserve? Swift Creek Bluffs Preserve is a deceptively unassuming slice of natural wonder that packs a lot into its 1.6 miles of trail – board walks, sandy creek banks, ephemeral ponds, and steep trail overlooks. It also holds special meaning for me thanks to great memories with friends, family, and my dog Starbuck.
Katia started at TLC in June 2023. She has been working in environmental outreach and data analysis for eight years, beginning as an AmeriCorps member with the Conservation Trust for North Carolina (CTNC) and Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Partnership (APNEP) and most recently with the Town of Cary. She received her bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Duke University and a graduate certificate in Geospatial Analytics from NC State.
