Join us at Williamson Farm and Nature Preserve to take part in the annual NC Science Festival Star Party with TLC! Did you know that you can walk the entire solar system at our Preserve? Dart around Mars and the Moon while dodging asteroids by taking just a short scaled solar system walk on one of our trails. You can also complete hands-on activities that range from arts and crafts to having fun with moon phase oreos. We’ll end the night with guided star gazing after exploring the wonders at Williamson.
We will be outside the entire time, so dress for the weather, bring a blanket or lawn chairs to sit in, and be sure to bring your excitement! We can’t wait to see you!
When registering, please only register once for each family unit, each individual does not need to be registered.
Founded in 2010, the North Carolina Science Festival is the first statewide science festival in the United States. Through a series of community-based events each April (hosted by schools, colleges, libraries, museums, parks, businesses, and other local organizations), the Festival celebrates the economic, educational, and cultural impacts of science in North Carolina. It is an initiative of Morehead Planetarium & Science Center at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. For more information, please visit ncscifest.org.
