Do you live in the city and LOVE the outdoors? Join our pop up Mappy Hour at Durty Bull Brewing to meet like-minded people and plan your next adventure!
What’s Mappy Hour, you ask? Mappy Hour got its start in NYC, but it’s a nationwide movement to bring adventure-loving city-dwellers together and help one another get outside. Want to learn how to kayak? You’re sure to meet someone who’s out on the water every weekend. Planning your first backpacking trip? There’s definitely someone drinking a beer next to you who’s hiked the AT.
At THIS Mappy Hour–
Local science writer, photographer and videographer Mary Lide Parker shares the awesomeness that is her latest project documenting coral reef conservation work in Belize. She’ll offer tips on how to get started scuba diving, snorkeling, and documenting your experience!
We’re also giving back to an amazing organization in our community that gets people outdoors: Triangle Land Conservancy! 50% of profits from the event will be donated to TLC, and they’ll be at the event to talk about their work.
